Can I put 1996-2000 Chevrolet Silverado Vortech heads on a 1995?

I have a 1995 K1500 Silverado Z71 with 5.7L engine and I want to put the port and polished Vortech heads on this subject with roller lifters and rockers to establish horses.

Yes, you can put the heads on a non-Vortec Vortec. youwill run the problem is that the bolt pattern for the intake manifold on a Vortec different than a regular 350, so if you are using Vortec heads, you will also have to buy an intake manifold that is compatible with them. For me, it's not really worth it. Since the use Vortec heads. you must replace the heads and intake, I would recommend going to Jegs.com and find a good head and Edelbrock Performer package admission that not only work well together, but also provide an increase in power much better and will not cost much more than the Vortec heads and consumption compatible (unless you pick them up a motor recovery). Since you must remove the exhaust any way to change your mind, I would also recommend getting a good set of Hedman and Hooker headers too. I have a 1990 GMC with the 350 same as you, and just adding a set of headers for my stock engine completely dropped my quarter mile time of more than one third of a second. If you put them on a modded engine a bit you should see some great results.
