I want to buy a Chevrolet Caprice Classic 1976 2 door?

I want to make a retractable hardtop. I really do not like the fabric on top convertibles. The fabric seems low. I want to beable to press a button and the top folds back just as if. Like a convertible. Is this idea possible? How it cost me? Thank you.

It had cost you a prohibitive amount. You would need to change the rear axle, rear seat and trunk for adapt to the monstrosity of a retractable hardtop and House actuators. You need to understand how to engineer actuators to bend over in the right order, and you'd have to design a good barrel hardtop to fit once the retracted position. If you had the knowledge, equipment and shop, I'd still feel it would cost you at least 30k in materials alone. Have a custom shop do it, and announced another 10-20k for their knowledge and time. This is serious business.
