My Chevy Venture 2003 headlights are super-dim. What should I do? Anybody else had this problem?

When I got them they were fine, but now they're really dim, too dim at night. I don't want to buy new ones only to find out they'll do the same thing pretty quickly. I don't know if the problem would be with the headlights or with the wiring & I don't wanna spend tons of money at repair shops trying to get it fixed if I don't need to. Has anybody else had that problem with this model of Chevrolet? What should I do?

Check the ground wire. In most cases it is corroded
